Maerhaba Yishake is a lecturer and researcher at Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Her work focuses on sustainable development, circular economy, and business models. She holds a Master’s degree in Science for Sustainable Development from Linköping University in Sweden.
Since joining Saxion in 2012, Maerhaba has combined teaching and research to explore how business models can support a more circular and inclusive economy. Within the Business Models research group, she works on developing practical tools and contributes to European projects that connect education, research, and regional transition.
In her teaching, Maerhaba brings research to life. She guides international business students through real projects with companies and organizations, helping them turn ideas into meaningful actions. Her work aims to bridge theory and practice, supporting students and partners in shaping a more sustainable future together.
