Holger Winter is CSO of the CeNTech GmbH. He studied chemistry at the University of Münster and got his PhD in bioorganic chemistry (University of Osnabrück). He spent 2 years as a scientist at the Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit. Before joining CeNTech in 2004, Holger Winter worked 4 years in R&D for the US biotechnology company Lynx Therapeutics, Inc. (Hayward, CA) and later on 3 years as a project manager for the Swiss biotechnology company Gnothis SA in Lausanne.
