Dr. Sebastian Husein coordinates and steers the energy transition innovation impact portfolio under the Climate Centre of the University of Twente. The portfolio includes technologies critical for net zero climate targets, in particular solar energy, next-gen batteries, energy management systems, sustainable heat, and others. He has led the coordination of consortia for large programs via the Dutch national growth funds and the international Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI), overseeing >€30M projects in upscaling tech such as grid-supporting batteries and sustainable (edge) data centres.
