Short CV:

Cathryn Clüver Ashbrook has been a senior advisor in the Bertelsmann Stiftung's ‘Europe's Future’ programme since August 2022. The German-American political scientist is a recognised expert on transatlantic relations, US politics and European security and economic issues. She began her professional career in 1999 as a correspondent for CNN. She then worked for the consulting firm Roland Berger and later moved to Harvard Kennedy School, where she founded the research programme on the future of foreign policy. From June 2021 to February 2022, she served as director and CEO of the German Council on Foreign Relations (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik).
