Carsten Schröder studied economic geography at the University of Osnabrück. He began his professional career at a consulting firm for socio-ecological innovations in Hanover and was involved in issue management projects at Volkswagen AG. He then worked as a research assistant and, from 2003, as deputy head of the transfer office at Münster University of Applied Sciences. Since 2004, Carsten has been the founder and managing director of TAFH Münster GmbH, a member of the presiding board since 2008, and vice president of FH Münster University of Applied Sciences since 2010, currently responsible for cooperation, innovation, and marketing. He represents the interests of the FH Münster and TAFH in various executive, supervisory, and advisory board functions at companies/institutions. For example, he is a member of the executive board of the REACH - EUREGIO Start-up Center and is currently also managing three start-ups from the university. Carsten Schröder works internationally, for example as a coach for universities and educational institutions in Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia.
